I have a wonderful life with Mini Ha Ha and my dogs and person who takes care of me. But at one time I was headed for a different fate. I am speaking for the horses here, will you write your congressman and speak there? And then go kiss your dog.
I'm Tout Suite, and here to say... Seeing these pics will brighten your day. And take a second to Speak for the Horse, for this will brighten your Karma, of course!
I am going with the Humane Society of the US to the CA capitol in Sacramento next week for Lobby Day to Lobby for the wild horse legislation. I will keep you posted.
Thanks for the heads-up about the wild horse legislation. I didn't realize the situation was so dire. If what I'm reading is correct, there are fewer than 30,000 wild horses still roaming. Meanwhile, some 35,000 are in captivity. My ex-father-in-law was once a state game director here in Washington and he used to talk a lot about herd management of mule deer and other species. But what the BLM is doing to these creatures seems heavy-handed, ill-conceived and excessive.
The way they are going about this looks like a case of government over-management and if it continues, they may manage the species right into extinction.
