Gorilla and Human Friend Reunite in the Wild After 5 Years: ♥ Megan Hearts Pets ♥
Hey Megan,

Quite a story, huh? Just amazing that five years after being released into the wild, all the guy has to do is call from a boat and his old friend hops on the nearest log to say hi. That no-let-go hug was too much. Sent it to Julie, she was in Miami for ten days for meetings. I told her I think our pets will still remember her as well when she comes home tonight. They've been very needy without her. They keep staring at me with a look that says "When is she coming home? Give us the date NOW! We are getting really annoyed with just you in the house."

Sorry to hear your mom was in the hospital. I remember what a nice lady she was to me a million years ago. Hope she is doing better.
Hey Michael!  Thank you for sending me this link.  It is amazing!  And yes, I know your pets miss Julie, and I am sure they appreciate you too!!!!  I just read your well wishes to my mom and she smiled.  Thank you!
Meow Y'all is what I say.  Cause I'm in North Carolina today.  Next week I'll be in New York City, because I am The Travel Kitty.  When I go to see Smiley, I missed him, it's true. And he smiles and says that he missed me too.
I love to see Megan  when she comes home from her trips and I smile and wiggle and trot with my legs out.  Then I get the rope and throw it up in the air.  I loved when I got to go to New England with her!!!!  Woof!!!
I can tell when Megan is on her way home because we horses are very extra sensitive.  When I lived at a barn with other horses, I would run back and forth in front of the fence when her airplane was landing.  I knew she was back.  Everyone knew that I knew.  We animals never forget a loved one.
Hej,
great video. I just had soft moment with my horse after a really great relaxing ride. I had gotten off of him and was standing there talking with someone and he just leaned over and put his nose in my arms. We stood there for a while with his head in my arms in our own world.

Wouldn't it be nice if all humans greeted each other like animals!  I am going to make a point of thinking of my dogs' greetings when I greet people!

FAbulous video!  Amazing!  That he would still know his friend.
Wow! I love that. Wish we could know just how much animals do remember, and how they remember it. Great story, thank you for sharing it here!
Kim-You must have some well-mannered dogs...if I greeted people the way my dogs greet people, I'm pretty sure it would be at least a misdemeanor.
Michael, You have a point.  I guess I got a little carried away in my idealistic fantasy.
Kim--What kind of dogs do you have?
MIchael, I have a German Shepherd and a Whodunnit.  What kind do you have?
Whodunnits rock. Right now we are holding steady with Crash, the 110-pound hound-type whodunnit rescue from Montana and Cassie, the nine-pound fireball Coton rescue from Missouri.

We are about ready for another rescuepalooza. 21 years now...quite a few unforgettable faces have passed through the door. Lost our beloved Beardie, Katie, last November to cancer. It stung, doesn't it always? One of the cool things about this board, everybody here is a compassionate rescue person...it's nice to find folks who share that kind of regard for the critters.
