Happy Easter!!  We hope you are having a beautiful, inspired weekend celebrating the wonders of Spring and renewal.  Yesterday, KZIN in Great Falls, MT, WSTC in Norwalk, CT, and Pet Tails Magazine talked with Smiley and me about his Happy Campaign, pet advice, and also about the Easter chicks, ducks and bunnies for sale now.  We know all of you here are responsible pet stewards so here are a few things to share with someone else who may be tempted by such an impulse purchase.  These baby animals are very fragile and need extra special care to survive.  Temperature control for them is very important and that is something that is often completely overlooked.  Bunnies require as much vet care and attention as a dog to thrive, and they ideally should be kept inside and trained to use a litter box.  And baby chicks and ducklings don't make good pets for children because they shed salmonella.  But, If you are up for giving a Forever Home to a "spring baby" and know what to provide for them, then Easter can be a wonderful day to celebrate your new arrival and welcome them as a new family member - not just as a decoration.  Happy Easter to all of you and may St. Francis watch after your beautiful animals during the year.  Who won your Easter Egg hunt?

How many legs are in this picture?   33.  It's an odd number because Spirit only has 3!
Great pic!So, we had our first try at dog and cat egg hunt. Unfortunately, all of these nocturnals just want to lie around on their backs, paws out, bellies flopping around. We'll try it again this evening.
How funny!  They didn't want to hunt eggs.  Don' they steal them from the chickens when you aren't looking?
I hope you all had a Happy Easter.  I see that through the wonders of photoshop, everyone has grown bunny ears.  When dogs participate in Easter Egg Rolls, do they roll the eggs with their noses or roll on the eggs?
