Megan ♥s Pets is an interactive online community for pet lovers where Megan Blake, her friends, and members can share all things pets with each other. The site is an extension of Megan's TV show and columns, which are all about having the best relationship with your pets. The site will include videos, photos, blogs, and other information about pets, posted by Megan, as well as by vets, trainers, and you! This is a place for all of you to share your favorite everything!
Joining Megan ♥s Pets is so simple! Just create an account, and get started. You can upload blogs, videos, photos, and more to your account. You can also send Megan messages, communicate with other site members in the forums, and read about Megan's adventures, events and pet tips!
If you want to make sure that Megan sees your blog post, photo, or video, just follow these simple directions. After you upload your blog/photo/video to your profile page (instructions for uploading content to your profile can be found below), just Flag the submission as 'Cool'. To Flag the submission, go to your profile page and click on the photo, video and/or blog. On the page where the content is displayed, look to the right and you will see the 'Flag' icon. Clicking on the 'Flag' icon will show you different options to click; please click 'Cool'. This way, Megan will get a chance to see what you posted, and she might just feature your post on the homepage!
Of course, Megan ♥s Pets welcomes anyone and you do NOT have to interact to enjoy the experience. Just come to the site, browse through Megan's blog posts, watch her videos, and learn about living the good life with your pets. You can come every day, once a week, or as often as you like. Enjoy!
Visit the website to view videos, photos, and blogs posted by Megan, her friends, pets, and VIPPs (Very Important Pet People). You can check their profile pages, write on their boards, send them messages, and interact with them just like you would on a social network like Facebook or MySpace. To get started, visit Megan's profile and say hello!
The daily posts on the homepage of Megan ♥s Pets are just the beginning. Edit your profile page, upload photos and videos, write blogs, and make new friends. Get involved on the site by participating in the forum. Use that space to interact with other members, ask questions, and become a part of the Megan ♥s Pets community.
In the Photo Albums section of your profile click the "Upload Photos" option. Enter a name and description for the album of photos you are creating, and then click "Submit". A pop up window will launch, asking you to "Trust" the java applet used to load the photo program. Please click "Trust" (this will NOT install software on your computer). Locate the folder where the photos are located on your computer, select the ones you want to upload, and click "Send". Once the album has been uploaded, you will be given the option to add captions to your photos.
In the Blog section on your profile click the "Write About Your Day" option. Enter a Title for your post, choose an optional Smiley Face, type in an optional song you are listening to, and then write your blog post in the 'Body' field. Once you have finished writing your blog, simply click "Submit"!
In order to upload videos to your profile page, you need to first create a YouTube account and then connect that account to your EQAL account on Megan ♥s Pets. First, sign up for a YouTube account. Next, visit your Megan ♥s Pets profile page and click "Edit my Profile". Next, click "External Accounts" in the "My Account" section. Next, click "YouTube accounts". Finally, enter your YouTube username and password into the appropriate fields and click "Submit". You will now be able to import videos from this YouTube account. If you'd like, you can link multiple YouTube accounts to your EQAL account on Megan ♥s Pets.
If you want, you can connect a Twitter account to your EQAL account on Megan ♥s Pets and use it to update your status on your Megan ♥s Pets profile page. First, sign up for a Twitter account. Next, visit your Megan ♥s Pets profile page and click "Edit my Profile". Next, click "External Accounts" in the "My Account" section. Next, click "Twitter accounts". Finally, enter your Twitter username and password into the appropriate fields and click "Submit". You will now be able to use your Twitter account to update your status on your profile on Megan ♥s Pets. If you'd like, you can link multiple Twitter accounts to your EQAL account on Megan ♥s Pets.
You can now incorporate photos into discussion posts. To do so, the images must be located on an existing website, not on your computer. The images must adhere to the Forum Behavior Policy, as they will be moderated.
To add images on a Mac, simply drag and drop an image from any web browser directly into the discussion text box. To add images on a PC, you can drag and drop like on a Mac, or you can right click on the image, copy the link location and paste it into the discussion post text box.
You can flag a piece of content as "Offensive" and it will enter our moderation queue, at which point one of our moderators will take appropriate action. You can also email the Site Administrator to report abusive users or offensive content.
If you notice any problems with the website, send an email to Site Administrator and we'll do our best to correct the problem as rapidly as possible.
